Robertson Bell are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join this well-respected public sector organisation on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and paid on time. You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies and maintain smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval for all invoices.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain and update supplier records.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks.
- Oversee the aged-debtors list.
This Accounts Payable Officer will join a small and supportive team and will be based at the organisation's office near Barnes in Southwest London. We are seeking someone who is able to commit to full time office attendance.
Person specification:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
