Purchasing Administrator

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Administrator based in Bordon to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is well-established and reputable suppliers of high-power products. They have been trading in the area for over 50 years and have seen some excellent growth over the last few years.

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator

  • Build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Procurement of non-stocked items through the Purchase Requisition workflow.
  • Administration of reject items and monthly reporting of supplier rejects.
  • General procurement of production materials & specific project procurement in support of new engineering designs/prototypes.
  • Routine expediting and supplier liaison.
  • Run weekly shortage reports.
  • Control and raise calibration orders.

Requirements for a successful Purchasing Administrator

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' administration experience within a purchasing department.
  • Good systems and number knowledge.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Purchasing experience previously.
  • Experience working within a factory would be advantageous.

Salary: Competitive
Location: Bordon, Hampshire – 100% site based
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 12:30pm
