Berry Recruitment is currently seeking a Structural Engineer/ Director for a leading structural engineering client based in Truro.

My client has an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced structural engineer with an enthusiastic self-motivated disposition, and excellent project and team development skills who is looking for a new challenge.

Based in Truro they operate throughout Devon & Cornwall. My client currently mostly works in the residential and commercial sector on a wide spectrum of large multi-million-pound projects in interesting locations.

My client is a well-established business with plenty of opportunities for expansion. Joining the team at director level, you will be integral to the business development as the practise continues to grow.

In return you will be offered a competitive salary between £50k - £75K DOE. Starting at director level with a profit scheme. Potential further progression to equity shares could be negotiated.

We are looking for an engineer capable of creative thinking to resolve design challenges. You will be liaising directly with the architects and other members of the design team to meet project deadline!

Alongside this, you will also be responsible for taking the technical lead with the existing team, mentoring as required and promoting CPD.

A suitable engineering degree Meng/BEng in civil or structural engineering, ideally with senior engineer or associate level and working towards chartership with the ISructE or ICE.

Strong communication, analysis and technical design ability are essential for this role.

Confidence managing others and willing to delegation skills are a critical requirement for this position.

Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practises, techniques and procedures.
