MLC Partners are working with a global education brand to recruit a Financial Controller to support their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team who are going through a period of transformation and given the amount of change ongoing this role will suit someone who thrives on implementing new ideas.
Reporting to the Finance Director, main responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 20, covering financial reporting, transactional finance, tax and treasury.
- Oversee timely delivery of financial reporting to various regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Manage the annual audit, working with the internal auditor to ensure the timetable is maintained and deadlines are hit.
- Work with the transformation team to support with the rollout of new finance systems and review current processes and policies remain fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working in a changing environment and delivering process upgrades.
- A recognised accountancy qualification, with multi-year post-qualification experience managing teams.
- Expertise with IFRS accounting standards and have strong technical knowledge from an audit perspective.
- A commercial mindset, although there is no requirement for specific sector experience and my client is open to those making their first move into industry from a practice background.
