Sales Account Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join their growing team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Sales Manager, collaborating closely with all departments and senior management.
  • Conduct informal and formal needs assessments for each customer to recommend suitable products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a friendly and professional service.
  • Represent the company positively in all interactions, maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and effectiveness.
  • Manage customer information and sales orders accurately, utilising digital and written formats.
  • Achieve weekly sales targets and manage customer accounts as assigned by Senior Management.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls and mailshots to both existing and potential new customers.
  • Provide detailed product information and updates to customers, assisting with queries and upselling opportunities.
  • Process orders and follow up on sample requests efficiently.
  • Operate the company's Live Chat System to assist online customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for exhibitions, trade shows, and customer site visits across the UK. A valid UK Driving License is required.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and make informed decisions independently.
