A primary school in Wakefield is looking for a caring Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. This role is due to start ASAP until the end of the academic year.
If you are patient, understanding and up for a challenge then you will be perfect for this role.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong rapport with the pupils in your care to help them feel comfortable and relaxed.
- To work alongside other support staff and assist with behaviour management where needed.
- To provide 1:1 support to pupils in need of extra assistance.
- To support the class teacher with the day to day running of the class.
- To ensure child care plans are followed accurately so the needs of each child are met.
To qualify as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, experience working with children and/or adults with learning disabilities is required. This can be professional or personal experience, such as having a family member with additional needs.
