Head of FP&A required for my client based near Swindon for a permanent role.

This is a hybrid opportunity.

Salary approx. £70-80k

The Head of FP&A is a key strategic role, integral to driving the company's financial vision and overall success. You'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller, CFO, CEO, and the Executive Team, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for both regional and group levels. You'll manage monthly Board reporting and MI packs, along with regular cash flow and net debt forecasts. In addition, you'll provide commercial analysis and insights, fostering innovation in financial planning and enhancing internal processes to elevate the finance department's performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Own financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis, including owning business and revenue model;
  • Build trusted relationships with senior team and functional leadership;
  • Articulate financial forecasts and analysis to senior team;
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team;
  • Optimize monthly, quarterly, & annual forecasting processes and partnering with the core finance team with the preparation of variance reporting;
  • Oversee vendors and contracts, negotiate terms, manage renewals and eliminate waste;
  • Work with the accounting and IT teams to evolve systems and processes to ensure accurate, detailed financial reporting;
  • Own the Company financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), including forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning;
  • Alongside the Executive team take responsibility for the presentation of the company budgets.
  • Generate P&L insights for management, both top-line and expense related; expand upon areas of opportunity with follow-up analyses and recommendations;
  • Model for various scenarios, run sensitivity analyses;
