Technology Teacher - required for September start at a popular and well run secondary Academy in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire - paying MPS and UPS salaries on a permanent basis

Are you an enthusiastic Technology teacher looking to join a highly regarded school from September? Tradewind Recruitment are working alongside a popular school to source a Technology teacher to support across your chosen specialism from September due to an internal promotion and large department creating a flexible timetable.

We are open to applications from DT teacher, RM Teacher, Graphics Teacher, Food Technology Teacher, textiles Teacher, Design Technology teacher

The successful Technology teacher will be joining a popular and well run department who support each other with shared planning and scaffolding, team meetings and a superb HOD. We are looking for Teachers with a passion for design and technology, and track record of delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate students. The school are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment that helps all students to reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full teaching responsibilities including planning differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students
  • Marking homework and assessments and tracking attainment in line with school policies
  • Provide regular feedback to students, parents and SLT
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and community by encouraging and supporting extracurricular activities and events where you've availability (not compulsory)
  • Promote the values and school ethos of respect at all times

Requirements:

  • A degree in Design Technology or a related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or recent experience of teaching a Technology subject
  • Knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work consistently on an independent basis as well as part of a team

This is a full-time, permanent position, starting in September 2024. The salary range is competitive and dependent on experience.
