Description
- Processing monthly payroll and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintaining and updating employee records for payroll purposes.
- Handling payroll-related queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Preparing monthly payroll reports for internal and external use.
- Working closely with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation.
- Supporting in the preparation of year-end reports.
- Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required.
Profile
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Experience in a payroll position within a similar size organisation.
- Experience working in the public or Not-For-Profit sector.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and payroll software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
