We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our Accounting & Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, in compliance with all statutory requirements.

Description

  • Processing monthly payroll and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records for payroll purposes.
  • Handling payroll-related queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Preparing monthly payroll reports for internal and external use.
  • Working closely with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation.
  • Supporting in the preparation of year-end reports.
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • Experience in a payroll position within a similar size organisation.
  • Experience working in the public or Not-For-Profit sector.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and payroll software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
