Software Development Technical Lead Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days in the office) £65,000 - £75,000 + additional benefits
We're seeking a hands-on Software Development Technical Lead to work on a flagship product and lead a talented team in implementing high-quality technical solutions. This role involves staying close to technology while influencing decisions on complex system designs and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, efficient platforms.
You will be responsible for enhancing and supporting a dynamic transactional platform that delivers real-time content across multiple devices, including web, mobile, and tablet applications.
The tech stack includes Golang, TypeScript, SQL, .Net, Web API, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3, and we're looking for someone with solid experience in one or more of these technologies. You'll take ownership of technical solutions, guiding the team to deliver high-performance, multi-user systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems
- Ensure code quality and coding standards are upheld across the team
- Lead solution design, providing active governance and guidance
- Review the team's output to ensure high-quality, business-appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior developers, to create fit-for-purpose solutions
- Manage work estimation, solution documentation, and effort delivery
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment
- Maintain a deep understanding of system architecture, both in development and production environments
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience leading development teams and delivering technical solutions
- Expertise in Golang, TypeScript, or other core technologies in the stack
- Experience working with high-availability, multi-user systems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to mentor, coach, and collaborate with team members at all levels
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under pressure while delivering high-quality solutions
