The Randstad Education team is seeking a teacher to fill a short term position for a friendly and welcoming Primary School located in St Albans.
The school is looking for someone who can commit to the position for the fixed term and will also be flexible enough to remain should there be a need. This role will involve ensuring Y5 pupils have the most successful academic year as they head into Y6.

Your responsibilities being a Year 5 teacher:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing targeted interventions as needed
- Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school's curriculum
- Establishing effective communication with parents and guardians to support students' academic and social development
Requirements and skills to secure this position:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant teaching experience, with a focus on Year 5
- Right to work in the UK
- 2 relevant professional /proven references
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment procedures
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for fostering a love of learning.
