An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager with a strong background in vehicle-related fabrication. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a diverse production team, ensuring on-site productivity, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Operations Director, this role requires a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Fabrication Shop and factory, stepping in to assist with jobs across all disciplines when necessary.
  • Ensure all equipment is available, maintained, and compliant with quality assurance and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised work environment.
  • Adhere to working procedures, ensuring each job is equipped with the correct materials, tooling, customer information, and paperwork, and that all previous operations have been signed off.
  • Promote the best methods of manufacture to improve efficiencies and foster a right-first-time culture.
  • Control and manage the Fabrication Shop/Factory to ensure the correct standard of work is achieved and on-time deliveries are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in a leadership role within a Welding/Fabrication environment, preferably related to the vehicle sector.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a production team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A track record of problem-solving and improving production efficiencies.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with quality assurance and health & safety standards.
