Prospero Teaching are currently seeking dedicated Keyworkers to provide 1:1 support to secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of these students.

About the Role:

As a Keyworker, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to secondary pupils who have SEMH and behavioural challenges. Your role will involve building positive relationships with students, implementing behaviour management strategies, and providing emotional support to help them overcome barriers to learning.

Supporting SEMH Pupils:

SEMH pupils often require understanding, patience, and a nurturing approach. Some key ways to support SEMH pupils include:

  1. Establishing a safe and supportive environment where pupils feel valued and respected.
  2. Developing personalised strategies to help pupils regulate their emotions and manage their behaviour.
  3. Building strong rapport and trust with pupils to encourage open communication and emotional expression.
  4. Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create individualised support plans that address the specific needs of each pupil.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Possess a valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
  2. Have the right to work in the UK.
  3. Be able to commit to working full time.
