Sales Ledger Co-ordinator

Butler Rose are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Co-ordinator to join our friendly Finance Team. This key role involves managing customer queries and ensuring their prompt resolution, maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to the efficiency of our finance operations.

The successful candidate will be a part of a supportive and dynamic team where your contributions directly impact our financial operations and customer satisfaction. Your role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance processes, ensuring our customers remain happy and our business runs smoothly.

This position will offer an opportunity to progress and will be office based five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Query Resolution: Handle queries related to price discrepancies, promotional discounts, cancelled or duplicate orders, faulty or damaged goods, and allowances.
  • Debit Note Management: Track and investigate debit notes using Excel, ensuring timely resolution to avoid impacting the Ageing Report.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and propose best practice recommendations and system improvements to enhance query resolution efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Retail Order Processing, Customer Services, and Finance teams to optimize early query resolution through adherence to and improvement of internal processes.
  • Sales Ledger Management: Share ideas for preventing queries and maintaining the sales ledger.

Duties Include:

Investigating received debit notes.

Processing credit notes as necessary.

Managing and maintaining retail customer sales price lists.

Setting up and maintaining customer master data.

Updating credit limits.

Releasing and blocking customer orders as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in sales ledger or a related field.

Strong understanding of collection processes and best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.

Experience in proposing and implementing process and system improvements.

Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Credit Control Manager and collaborates closely with the Finance Team.
