Lead Accountant
Walsall (WS1 hybrid)
£153.85 PAYE - £220 Umbrella Inside IR35 day rate
6-12 Month contract
ARM are recruiting for a Lead Accountant to support our client's finance function in its budgeting setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a first-class, cost-effective financial service that aligns with legal, financial, and Council goals to meet customers' needs, in accordance with Finance and Contract Procedure Rules.
- You'll offer high-quality financial information to senior management, including Executive Directors, to support informed decision-making.
- Step in for the Deputy Head of Finance, Head of Finance, or other managers when necessary.
- Present financial information to a variety of audiences, including sharing complex or sensitive information with Scrutiny panels and other public meetings.
- Step in for the Deputy Head of Finance, Head of Finance, or other managers when necessary.
Ideal candidate Qualifications:
- Public sector experience (not mandatory)
- Experience in management accounting
- Experience of budget setting and processes
- Experience working with various stakeholders (preferably in a political environment)
- CIMA or CCAB Membership
