Building Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Building Control Manager for a 6-month interim position. This role offers hybrid working options and requires a professional with excellent knowledge of building regulations. The successful candidate will oversee building control activities, ensuring compliance and safety in all construction projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the review and approval of building plans and inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
- Lead and manage a team of building control officers and support staff.
- Provide expert advice on building regulations to architects, builders, and developers.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders involved in construction projects.
- Manage and resolve complex building regulation issues and disputes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices in the building control sector.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Building Control Manager or a similar role in the construction or building regulation sector.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in building control, construction management, or a related field.
