Retail Measurement Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workplace Measurement Analyst within our client's award-winning business, which is based on the outskirts of Chester.

The role requires an excellent communicator with fantastic listening skills who can build strong stakeholder relationships to accurately measure, model, and maintain retail store hours. This includes supporting stores' mission to focus on the right areas, do tasks effectively and efficiently, and benefit colleagues and customers.

This is a varied role that requires someone who can effectively manage projects and other tasks such as process documentation, Measuring Productivity, Modelling Impact, Store Visits, Data Analysis, process optimisation, Labour Standards development, and conducting studies on stores.

This is mainly office-based but will require some nationwide travel.

The Role

  • Oversee work measurement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring everything runs efficiently.
  • Analyse retail processes and accurately document how tasks are performed.
  • Assess retail processes and track productivity levels.
  • Evaluate and validate how work measurements influence operations.
  • Complete regular visits to our retail stores will be part of your responsibilities for conducting work measurements, audits, and validations.
  • Create Labour Standards to determine the Basic Minute Value (BMV) for each retail task.
  • Complete various work measurement studies, focusing on activities, efficiency, and roles.
  • Gather and analyse data to help identify patterns and provide valuable insights.
  • Support the wider team in maintaining the Labour Model.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the business to enhance your understanding of the Labour Model will be key in your role.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the retail process and improve ways of working to add value.

Experience and Skills

  • Possess the ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Have a strong desire to learn and develop, complemented by a solid work ethic.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and data, emphasizing accuracy.
  • Possess excellent computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Have experience in collecting and analysing data effectively.
  • Able to convey information in a straightforward manner that others can easily understand.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right.
  • Be structured and organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Maintain a solution-focused approach with a mindset geared toward growth.
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at various levels within the business.
  • Possess strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a full UK driving license and are flexible enough to travel within the UK, including overnight stays when necessary.

Desirable Skills

  • Have prior experience in the retail industry.
  • Ideally, have a degree or relevant business experience.
  • Understand work measurements and work studies, with experience in producing Labour Standards.
  • Have a background in productivity, industrial engineering, or workforce management.
  • Be knowledgeable about Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Have experience using SQL for data analysis
