Head of Engagement & Enlivenment - White City Place

Purpose of the Role

To engage with the internal and external communities at White City Place and develop a strategy that will engage occupiers and create a space that they want to come to for work and leisure. As well as engaging with the local business and residential communities to build relationships that support White City Place's ESG and leasing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Putting White City Place at the heart of the innovation district.

Engagement - External:

Engage with target tenants and core innovation industries.

Working with the client to create a vision of what our target industries, sectors, and companies we are looking to attract to WCP.

Create an annual strategy to create opportunities/events for the target companies and industry leaders to use/come into contact with WCP to generate awareness in our selected industries.

Support the leasing team in converting prospects into tenants and the hand over to the operational members of the site team.

Champion WCP to all visitors by leading tours and visits from stakeholders, prospective tenants, and community groups.

Research and create profiles of the target demographics we are trying to attract to WCP.

Manage and develop relationships with:

  • Local communities
  • Hammersmith and Fulham Council
  • Local community projects and charities
  • Imperial College

Broker partnerships to create opportunities to engage positively with the local community and deliver activations that improve tenant experience and generate revenue.

Increase revenue from space rentals (The Studio, meeting rooms, gardens, vacant spaces etc) and increase positive community impact from community uses and partnerships.

Understand local demographics to build a detailed customer profile to support the team with initiatives that build WCP as a work and public destination.

Leverage the connections made and deliver the enlivenment strategy to drive footfall to the retailers at White City Place to increase their revenue.

Engagement - Internal:

Build relationships with the tenant population with an aim to better understand their needs and improve their experience of White City Place.

Build a detailed customer profile of tenants/building users to support the team make better decisions about WCP.

Using established knowledge about the needs of tenants, and work closely with retail tenants to hone their offering to meet the needs of the internal populations' needs. This will include supporting them putting on events, identifying catering opportunities and offering opportunities to be involved with WCP's events programme.

Understand the needs of the customers and what events and activations will appeal to them the most and they will find the most useful. This could be by way of working groups, feedback sessions and leading the way for active improvement of ongoing tenant relations.

Identify opportunities for occupiers to connect and collaborate with each other and external people/businesses that are relevant to their individual sectors.

Serve as a brand ambassador for White City Place promoting its unique values and offerings to both internal and external stakeholders.

Internal Events:

Based on their detailed understanding of our occupiers, the Head of Engagement and Enlivenment will curate a series of social, networking, wellbeing and educational events specifically targeted at our occupiers to enrich their experience of WCP.

Develop and oversee an easy to use, technology-based system for tenants to book spaces to hold their own events/meetings.

Create an annual programme of activations, give aways, that enhance the customer experience, including oversight of financial budgeting and cost assessments.

Responsible for driving engagement throughout the Estate, both old and new, with an expectation on increasing attendance and impact on community.

Identify opportunities to activate throughout the Estate, creatively and imaginatively, pushing the boundaries on historic strategy to reinforce ‘rebrand'.

Establish and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and enlivenment initiatives, regularly monitoring and analysing data to inform future strategies and decision-making.

External Events

Based on their detailed understanding of the local community, the Head of Engagement and Enlivenment will curate a series of culturally relevant social events, and educational support events aimed at bringing visitors to WCP and to enrich the lives and experience of the local residents. These events should also create a platform for our occupiers and the local community to mingle.
