Design Engineer

Day-to-day of the role:
- Evaluate problems to design new parts or modify existing ones.
- Conduct testing and quality checks on parts, creating verification documentation.
- Generate CAD-based technical documentation and lead design discussions.
- Manage projects from conceptual design to production, including creating and manipulating bills of materials.
- Perform calculations to verify designs and ensure they meet standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- UK-based Degree in a STEM subject.
- Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in design or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling, technical drawing, and BOM manipulation.
- Experience in mechanical assembly using hand and electrical tools.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable: Experience in sheet metal design, mechatronics, and testing designs/components against standards.
- Experience of using SolidWorks
