Design and Technology Technician
Start: ASAP
Salary: Between £100 and £120 a day depending on experience
Tradewind Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Design and Technology Technician to work at a creative secondary school in the Ashford area. The role is for an immediate start and will be on an ongoing basis.
The role:
- Support the Design and Technology Department in preparing materials, equipment and resources for practical lessons
- Assisting teachers during the practical lessons providing guidance and support to students when needed
- Maintaining and organising the classroom and equipment to ensure a safe learning environment for the students
Requirements:
- Degree in Product Design and Technology or similar
- Experience of working in a similar role within a school or educational setting
- A passion for Design and Technology and a willingness to adapt quickly to changing situations
- Excellent communication skills in order to work effectively with students and others within the Department and wider school
- Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
