Do you thrive in a busy role which requires high levels of organizational skills?

I am assisting a client based in Thirsk who is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator/Administrator to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis. The role requires 15 hours per week, covering Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities and skills required:

  • Read Job Sheets scheduled for production
  • Create a 'shopping list' of necessary materials
  • Order materials from designated suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding lead times, stock levels, and delivery dates to ensure timely arrival for production
  • Conscientious and organised
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Friendly and professional manner for regular supplier interactions
  • Previous purchasing experience would be advantageous but not essential
