ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN TO JOIN A LEADING AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE COMPANY ON A 24-30 MONTH FTC
- On-site in Merthyr Tydfil
- £33,250 to £34,250 per year
- 24-30 Fixed Term Contract
- 37.5 hours a week
- Fridays Off
- Ability to obtain SC clearance is essential
WHAT WILL THE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN BE DOING?
You will be joining a team working the Mechanical and Electrical assembly of Armoured Vehicles. You'll be using a variety of hand and air tools along with Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools on precision assemblies. Other responsibilities will include:
- Assembly and integration of complex systems
- Working from drawings and engineering instruction
- Performing quality and performance testing
- Other production tasks on high value hardware
WE NEED THE ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN TO HAVE...
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician / Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
- Heavy/Large vehicle assembly experience
- Strong mechanical bias
- Ability to work Monday to Thursday at Merthyr Tydfil
- Complete a week's training in Ampthill
