Description
- Planning and developing merchandising strategies.
- Analysing sales figures, market trends and customer behaviour to determine product needs.
- Building buy proposals to ensure continuity of supply. Presentation of proposals at buy meetings.
- Collaborate with product team, suppliers and distributors to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales.
- Maintaining and tracking inventory, including tracking and co-ordination of inbound freight. Assess warehouse capacity and intake availability.
- Management of product in our ERP system, including generation of the purchase order and setting up of new products ahead of launch.
- Determining the need for and implementing product promotions, price changes, mark downs, clear outs, etc.
Profile
- Proven working experience in merchandising.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills to identify stock discrepancies and troubleshoot inventory issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with the wider team and outside of the business.
- Experience using an ERP system
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Attention to detail for ensuring stock accuracy.
- Experience in the fashion, clothing or outdoor wear industry is a plus but not a requirement
