Student Experience Support Officer

Location: Glasgow, Strathclyde International Study Centre

Salary: £25400 per annum

The Student Experience Support Officer will be the first point of contact for all student queries. They will be supporting the delivery of student inductions, organising student social events and activities, and assisting with general administrative tasks during peak periods.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Foster positive relationships with students and deal with their requests and concerns in a professional and prompt manner
  • Supporting the delivery of student inductions throughout the academic year.
  • Organising and coordinating student events and activities throughout the academic year as required.
  • Lead the production of the monthly student newsletter
  • Coordinate with the Central Marketing Team in promoting the Centre's profile on social media
  • To provide student facing advice and support at the Student Office Helpdesk/ respond or redirect emails coming into Student Advice email account
  • Assist with the distribution of student surveys
  • Organise elections for student reps, assist with student rep training and work closely with reps to address any issues/ideas raised.
  • Assist in engagement with Building Futures
  • Support the Head of Student Experience and Senior Management Team as required.
  • Foster productive relationships with student body and members of staff.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Head of Student Experience or the Centre Director.

ABOUT YOU

  • Higher Mathematics & English (Nat 5 or relevant experience will be considered).
  • Working under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Working with international students
  • Working in a Higher Education or Further Education environment
  • Using data management systems
  • Experience of minuting meetings
