Our client is a leading E-Commerce Distributor in Herefordshire, and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced FM professional as they search for a Facilities Manager.

The main responsibility is to running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.

Day-to-day duties and responsibilities of a Facilities Manager:

  • Control task requests and project planning details via JIRA
  • Obtaining quotations and controlling/reducing operational costs
  • Provide and record project planning details to SSTM / Jira
  • Induct, establish and maintain effective working relationship with all contractors
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and monitoring maintenance records
  • Maintain Permit to Work log for contractor/Maintenance Op as appropriate (all sites)
  • Out of hours response to emergency situations and hosting of contractors
  • Ensure sites are prepared for adverse weather conditions (snow, ice, darkness)
  • Responsible for the management of the cleaning, facilities and maintenance teams
  • Ensure all teams and contractors adhere to H&S and COSHH regulations
  • Ensure all internal and external areas of the Moreton and Hereford sites are maintained to a high standard
  • Support management of canteen, staff, policies and process, and management of 3rd party security companies
