Treasury & Transactions Manager

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Treasury and Transactions Manager on behalf of a large well-established Group of companies in Cannock on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Controller and working as part of a vibrant team, you will be responsible for managing the cash coming in and out for the group, ensuring the most effieicient and robust transactions processing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and management of group cash position to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Ensuring accurate and timely postings of VAT
  • Management and reconciliation of the balance sheet and cashbook
  • Responsible for reconciling the bank account regularly
  • Ensure HMRC compliance and making payments to correct timescales
  • CIS returns and reconciliation
  • Development and mentorship of 1 team member
  • Provide year end audit support
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant colleagues and Finance Business Partners
  • Provide adhoc support/cover for other members of the team
  • Driving continuous improvement of processes and procedures

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry with a high level of understanding of VAT and taxation, able to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
You must be driven and enthusiastic able to contribute to a high performing team with the right procedures and processes.
