Information about the Role:
Working as a Support worker at Ridgewood House your duties will include the following:
- Using the training provided, aid the people we support through all aspect of life including mealtimes, bathing and day to day activities.
- By getting to know the people we support you will be able to help write their care plans and understand when risk assessments may be needed.
- Be there to assist the people we support in daily activities, social interactions, and outings either in a group setting or on a 121 basis.
- Assist the people we support with their health needs as required, which may include administering medication and attending medical appointments.
- Keep daily paperwork up to date to ensure we have captured everything that has happened in the day

Ridgewood is a 12-bedroom supported living care home, located towards the outskirts of Camborne town centre and within easy reach of amenities. The property provides plenty of communal space, encouraging each individual to regain their independence without isolation.
At Ridgewood, we can support adults with learning disabilities or mental ill-health needs as they undertake their daily activities. This includes providing support for areas of personal care and finances, assisting with work or with college, and aiding each person to access the community.
Ridgewood offers permanent and temporary placements.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:
- Ideally 6 months experience and needs to be medication trained.
