What The Role Will Involve
As a Warehouse Operative you will have a number of key duties including picking, packing, replenishment, and stock counting. You will be expected to work accurately and efficiently, taking pride in your work, with a willingness to assist other members of the team.
Your duties will include:
- Daily picking and packing of customer orders
- Working to targets to pack products quickly and efficiently
- Dispatching larger items by courier using online courier booking systems
- Daily re-stocking/replenishment of stock in the warehouse
- Replenishing stock in the correct warehouse locations
- Updating stock locations on the internal database
- Stock counting
- Monitoring low stock levels and relaying information to the purchasing department
- Ensuring stock is stored safely and correctly
- Checking for damaged or faulty products
- Identifying and reporting incorrect and faulty products
- Ensuring the warehouse is tidy, organised, and safe at all times
- Further ad hoc responsibilities.
The ideal Warehouse Operative will hold the following skills and experiences:
- Self-motivated to work quickly and efficiently
- Great eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to work at speed
- Pride in keeping areas tidy and organised
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English
The working hours of this role are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm (37.5 paid working hours per week). In return you will receive a salary of £25,642.50 per annum (£13.15 per hour).
