Hybrid Legal Contracts Specialist

SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Hybrid working Legal Contracts Specialist on a permanent basis. The role is based in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

The role has a flexible hybrid working set up, 2/3 days based in the Newark office and 2 days working from home. Working Monday - Friday 40 hrs per week.

We are are looking for a paralegal or lawyer who can support the legal function within the organisation, improving response times and turn-around of commercial agreements and other documents. The candidate should have experience or knowledge of/in a commercial background dealing with customer and supplier agreements. This role is primarily supporting the processing of commercial agreements. Drafting of organisational documents will be part of the role.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate working with stakeholders of various competencies. The role may include direct interaction with customer, supplier and/or partner legal representatives.

Duties;

Establish and maintain internal, customer and supplier relationships.
Undertake detailed review of a wide range of commercial contracts (including but not limited to supply of goods & services contracts, partnership agreements, public procurement documents and contracts, software licencing agreements, non-disclosure agreements etc, in which the business may act as a supplier or customer) to understand and assess any commercial risks in such contract, taking into account the business' role in the same, and to liaise with internal stakeholders to provide advice against such risks and solutions on how to mitigate the same.
Draft and negotiate key contractual provisions with external stakeholders taking into account business need and internal discussions.
Arrange execution of finalised contracts, updating stakeholders on the final terms of the contract and ensuring final executed versions are filed accordingly.
Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation and keep internal stakeholders appraised of ongoing negotiations.
Maintain contracts registry and advise relevant stakeholders of any expiring contracts accordingly.
Assist in ensuring that all precedent contract documentation is complete, accurate and up to date with any changes in law and that the company continue to act in a compliant manner in its day-to-day activities.
Providing ad-hoc advice and interpretation of contractual provisions to internal stakeholders and assist in solutions based thinking to assist the business.
Supporting the business on other legal matters including, but not limited to, corporate governance and compliance.
Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution.
Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate.
Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders.
Advise senior management of key issues and escalate as appropriate.
Assist with commercial, contractual and compliance responses to tenders, where requested.
Monitor changes or developments within the industry and the legal framework surrounding it.
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on relevant contractual matters and other legal issues.

Salary; £50,000 - £55,000
Working Hours; 40 hrs per week - Hybrid working 2/3 days in the office 2 days working from home. 8.00 AM - 5.00 PM Monday - Friday
