Assistant Accountant

Our SME client is recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an interim assignment to assist the Finance Manager.
Your new role
You will be responsible for completing all financial postings, processing purchase invoices, and coding them to the respective cost centres. You will handle bank reconciliations in multiple currencies, manage credit control by sending out monthly statements and following up on overdue payments, and ensure timely payments to suppliers. You will also reconcile the purchase ledger with supplier statements, request missing invoices, and revalue foreign debtors and creditors on a quarterly basis. As part of the finance team, you will assist with sales and profit forecasting, manage intercompany balances, and contribute to monthly management accounts by handling accruals and prepayments.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of processing the ledger accounts, reconciliations and assisting with the monthly management accounts. Good Excel skills with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills for client interactions, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines are crucial.
What you'll get in return This role is initially interim but has the potential to become a permanent position.
