A job opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a highly established and growing Utilities organisation during a period of rapid technical and business transformation.

Your new role
The IT Business Analyst join an innovative, fast-paced IT team that is undergoing a period of transition and transformation. You will be responsible for requirements elicitation, whilst scoping and understanding business and IT requirements in a largely outsourced environment. You will liaise with a range of key stakeholders, scoping requirements on a range of projects from large programmes of work to critical small changes. You will work with project sponsors to analyse IT / business requirements, reviewing requirements alongside IT Technical Architects to match requirements to appropriate solutions and help to manage any external tender selections for new technology solutions.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of having worked as a Business Analyst in the Utilities sector
  • Have an understanding of managing a wide range of business and IT requirements in a largely outsourced environment
  • Degree level education is essential
  • ISEB Business Analysis qualification or similar certification is highly desirable
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent Project Management qualification, in addition to ITIL qualification / ITIL experience would also be an advantage
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
