Description
- Manage all logistical operations within the depot
- Ensure the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
- Implement and uphold operational procedures
- Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods
- Monitor performance and make improvements where necessary
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
- Manage staff resources according to changing needs
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
Profile
A successful Depot Manager should have:
- A track record in 2 man home delivery operations
- Proven experience in managing warehouse operations
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams
- Excellent organisational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loads
- Must be commutable to Birmingham 5 days per week
