A college in Nuneaton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Coach to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students by providing guidance, support, and enrichment to help them succeed academically, socially, and personally. As a Community Coach, you will be an integral part of the college community team, working closely with students to foster a positive and inclusive campus environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to help students set and achieve academic, personal, and career goals.
  • Assist students in developing effective study habits, time management skills, and strategies for academic success.
  • Guide students in personal growth areas such as resilience, stress management, and work-life balance.
  • Support students in career exploration, resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate programs that support student engagement and enrichment, including workshops, seminars, and group activities.
  • Work with faculty, staff, and external partners to create opportunities for student learning and development.
  • Identify and provide resources, materials, and tools that support student enrichment and success.
  • Foster a sense of community among students through group activities, peer mentoring programs, and student organisations.
  • Conduct outreach to engage students who may benefit from enrichment services and support.
  • Promote an inclusive environment that respects and values diversity among the student body.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths.
  • A minimum standard of education to A Level or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing coaching sessions and working under own initiative.
  • Experience within an education setting is desirable.
  • Ability to promote high expectations of students in and outside the classroom.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Understanding of Child Protection, Health & Safety, and Equality & Diversity issues.
