Role: Head of GCSE English

Rate of pay £280 - £320 per hour
Eden Brown are currently looking for a Head of GCSE English on behalf of a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester
This is a full time Interim role to start as soon as possible until Christmas.
The Role: As the Head of GCSE English, you will:
- Lead and manage the GCSE English department, driving excellence in teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum strategies that engage and challenge students.
- Support and mentor a team of passionate English teachers, fostering professional growth.
- Monitor and improve student outcomes, ensuring every learner reaches their full potential.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the college.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified and experienced English teacher with a proven track record of success at GCSE level.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for educational excellence.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
To apply you will have:
- Relevant degree or equivalent
- Teaching qualification
- Recent experience of teaching and leading on a range of programmes, including GCSE English (Resist)
- Experience of managing curriculum
- Developing and planning programmes
A DBS is also needed for this role, if you do not have a current DBS Eden Brown can apply on your behalf.
