Head of Financial Reporting & Analysis

Sheridan Maine are supporting our client based near Ringwood, on the Hampshire/Dorset border, to recruit in a new Head of Reporting & Financial Analysis. This role reports directly to the Finance Director of a diverse group of companies. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will support the finance team with month-end processes, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Reporting & Financial Analysis:

  • Support the finance team in managing the month-end close and reporting tasks, including; GL reconciliations, Balance Sheet reconciliations, Financial analysis, Journal preparation.
  • Manage and prepare monthly reporting for finance review meetings.
  • Generate reports for the wider leadership team and co-ordinate weekly reporting requirements.
  • Budget and forecasting presentations for SLT.
  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, Calculate Tax credits.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the SLT.

Skills and Qualifications required of the Head of Reporting & Financial Analysis:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with significant post qualification experience.
  • Confident and inquisitive by nature, with clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and logical reasoning and able to work accurately to strict deadlines.
  • Confident communicator, who is capable of operating effectively at all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge the grain if required at a senior level of business.
