Probate Solicitor/Legal Executive
An established high street law firm are looking for an experienced Probate Lawyer to join their office located in the picturesque Exmoor National Park.
Working alongside knowledgeable and friendly colleagues, the caseload would be made up of complex and high value Claimant and Defendant Contentious Probate matters. The work is varied and challenging but rewarding and the team places a high value on mutual support and co-operation.
The successful candidate will be either a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive and have between 2 – 5 yrs PQE. You will be comfortable with running a busy caseload and also taking part in a variety of business development and networking events.
STEP Membership is highly desirable but not essential for this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Private Client Partner:
- Management of a personal caseload of between 35 and 50 varied, complex and often high value cases, including responsibility for day-to-day client relationships; and
Skills/Competencies and Experience required:
Essential:
- Intellectual curiosity, commerciality and practicality.
- Ability to deal flexibly with a wide range business partners and clients;
- Ability to take full responsibility for cases and strategy (subject to supervisory and group support).
- Experience of running contentious probate cases including a good mix of acting for defendants and claimants.
- Collaborative approach to supervision and development of team.
