KCR Solutions are excited to be recruiting a Project Accountant to join a growing and dynamic business at their South Shields site. This role is perfect for a qualified accountant with experience in a project-based role in engineering/manufacturing. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, able to set goals and objectives with little direction in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage project finances, ensuring projects remain within budget.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse project costs and variances.
- Maintain project WIP schedule.
- Oversee revenue and cost recognition for large capital projects.
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely milestone payments.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure financial accuracy and successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with the finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
- Assist Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Perform other accounting tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant, CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US/UK GAAP.
- Proven experience in engineering/manufacturing accounting for large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management in a project environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly with project teams.
