Are you passionate about media and eager to inspire the next generation of media-savvy students?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Media Studies Teacher to join a dynamic school, full time, from September in Chesham, Buckinghamshire.

As a Media Studies Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and media literacy.
  • Delivering lessons that align with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse needs and interests of students.
  • Inspiring students to explore various aspects of media, including film, television, journalism, and digital media.
  • Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their development in media studies.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the media curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Preparing students for media-related projects, presentations, and creative endeavours'.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Media Studies.
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in media studies and related topics.
  • Passion for education and the ability to inspire and engage students in the world of media.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Effective classroom management skills, creating an environment conducive to creative exploration and critical analysis.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to enhancing students' media education.
