My client is looking for a Business Development Manager x 2 for the North West region.
The purpose of this role is to increase sales and profitability of the business within the given geographic area and to work as a member of the wider team to contribute to the overall success of the business.
What will you be doing?
- To achieve and over deliver on sales and gross profit targets.
- To deliver month on month new business wins across multi sector customers.
- To devise and deliver area business plan to maximise growth.
- To work with top customers to deliver growth and customer satisfaction.
- To work alongside Customer Service to enhance the offering with all customers.
- To proactively manage customer retention.
- To use the tools provided to analyse customer accounts to highlight downtrading lines and accounts and spot new opportunities and then action accordingly.
- To maintain competitor awareness and use this to deliver a growth strategy.
- To log all customer contact in the CRM system and use the outlook calendar in the system as a daily diary and planner to discuss with you sales Director on a weekly basis.
- To contribute to the overall success of the business, assisting colleagues wherever necessary
- To liaise with Accounts function to ensure customer payment.
- To maintain and develop knowledge of product offering with regular training.
- To contribute and take the lead where required on sector or area specific projects or campaigns.
- Ensure best commercial fit to customer and business.
- Maximise selling opportunities by analysis of customer needs.
- To prepare for, attend and contribute at all meetings as required including current, future wins, and strategy to achieve this.
- Any other duties as required by directors for the smooth running of the business
When will I work?
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Work from home, attending the office in Bury when required.

- Proven track record of overachieving profitable sales in food and drink, or similar business model.
- Confident in building lasting business relationships.
- Commercially aware and able to identify opportunities.
- The capacity to interpret, understand and act upon financial data to achieve customer solutions.
- Team Player working across the operation to deliver outstanding satisfaction.
- IT literate working across various platforms in the business.
- Full UK driving licence
The base salary will be up to £32k plus an annual bonus of up to £16k plus company car.
