Financial Reporting & Tax Accountant

Orka Financial is working with a large global business to recruit a Financial Reporting and Tax Accountant based in Taplow. In this role we are looking for someone coming from a Tax background or someone who has worked on Tax as part of a wider role. This role will offer the successful candidate exposure to a wide range of Financial & Corporate reporting as well as provide a supportive team culture to aid in their development. The business operates hybrid working with up to 2/3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for coordinating the internal and external tax requirements in conjunction with internal / external advisors, covering the reporting of corporation tax & VAT.
- Monthly/quarterly tax reporting for all the UK entities.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal key controls, leading to clean audits in the areas of the role responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance to existing policies and procedures. Regular review and communication of procedures to enable regulatory and statutory requirements to be met.
- Preparation and filing of the statutory accounts for the UK entities, liaising with the contributors to the accounts and the auditors to meet fling requirements and deadlines.
- Remain up to date and communicate any changes in statutory reporting requirements.
- There is a need to be up to date technically and to research any new UK tax requirements to ensure timely introduction and compliance.
- timely month end reporting including profit and loss, balance sheet Reconciliations, cash flow and contributing to the forecasting process.

Profile:

  • Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Knowledge of IFRS and good level of tax knowledge
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure and on own initiative
  • Able to communicate with people at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Technically up to date with attention to detail
  • SAP experience, desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills

Salary:

£55,000 - £60,000 + bonus + benefits
