We are recruiting experienced Timber Processor's to join a major timber manufacturer easily accessible from Hockley, Aston, Perry Barr and Central Birmingham.

This company are a well-established and growing timber manufacturer specializing in high-quality timber products. The team is passionate about craftsmanship, and we are seeking a skilled Timber Processor to join our production team. If you have experience in timber processing and take pride in delivering precise, top-quality work, we want to hear from you!

The company are looking to offer long-term positions.

Hours of work are : 0800 - 1600

Pay rate : £11.75 - £12.25 per hour depending on experience

Your duties will include:

  • Reading and Understanding Cutting Lists: Accurately interpret cutting lists and work orders to ensure all specifications are met.
  • Identifying and Selecting Timber: Choose the appropriate timber for each job based on grain, texture, and strength requirements.
  • Cross Cut Saw Operation: Use a crosscut saw to cut timber to precise lengths, following safety protocols and ensuring consistency.
  • Band Saw Operation: Use a band saw to cut timber to specific widths, ensuring accuracy and maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in timber processing or woodwork (essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as cutting lists.
  • Skilled in the use of crosscut saws, band saws, and other woodworking machinery.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in a workshop environment.
