Data Analyst
- Location: Central London, near St Paul's station and Moorgate station
- Job Type: Full time, Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home), 9am-5pm
- Salary: £35-45K depending on experience
We are seeking a Data Analyst to provide essential support to our client's data operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data processes and experienced with SQL. In this role you will gain experience building automated pipelines and maintaining data warehouses within the Azure environment; any prior experience with Azure would be seen as a beneficial. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to identify reporting issues and develop effective solutions, as well as strategizing with DevOps to tackle existing challenges.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support and back up data operations by understanding and improving current processes.
- Build automated pipelines within the Azure environment to streamline data operations.
- Maintain the data warehouse, ensuring its integrity and accessibility.
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand reporting pain points and assist with data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps to strategize and implement the best solutions for existing problems.
- Prepare and collate information using SQL/Python to respond to ad hoc business queries.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI to present insights and findings effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Excel and a good understanding of SQL.
- Basic knowledge of Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
- An understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure.
- Knowledge of transactional databases and data warehouses.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
