Salary – up to £40,000

Contract – Permanent

Working pattern - Full Time 37.5 hours - Monday to Friday

Residential Management Group (RMG), one of the UK's largest Property Management Companies, is looking for an experienced Salesforce Engineer, to join a team a team of engineers, designers and architects, delivering to a defined product roadmap, providing technology solutions to the business.

This is a hybrid role, with at least 2 days a week based at our Northwich Office (CW9 7LN) and the remainder working from home.

What is the role?

Salesforce is our digital transformation platform - you will participate in the development of technology changes and solutions that deliver digitisation and digital transformation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivery: Participate in the design and engineering build of Salesforce solutions.
  • Technical Design: Lead on the design of less complex technology solutions, aligned to business requirement and user-led designs.
  • Documentation: Contribute towards solution design documentation. To document as-built technology solutions in the prescribed format.
  • Build: To engineer performant, scalable, resilient and secure Salesforce solutions. Deploy solutions including data migration and cutover, where required.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform comprehensive technical (unit & integration) testing of new solutions. To document test scenarios and results.
  • Project Working: Working as part of a team, effectively communicate with engineering colleagues, project & PMO colleagues, and business representatives throughout the delivery process.
  • Warranty Support: Provide high quality responsive Warranty support for any newly delivered solutions, and to prepare and handover documentation to enable transition of new technology into Service, supported by the IT Operations function.
  • Service: To be an expert in your field. Provide fourth line support in resolving complex incidents and problems. To escalate to vendors and partners, and own tickets through to resolution. To keep affected colleagues informed.
  • Security: Embed security-by-design when designing and building engineering solutions, and when delivering service. Always act with full and due consideration to data and information security.
  • Provide advice on Salesforce functionality and, alongside the Senior Salesforce Engineer, Engineering Manager and Product Manager, provide recommendations on optimising the potential of the platforms to meet the needs of the business

What skills and experience will you have?

Essential

  • Current Salesforce certifications (Administrator/Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer 1 or 2, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud).
  • A solid understanding across the Salesforce platform, with the ability to learn and engineer new elements of the platform as required.
  • Experience of contributing to the end-to-end development lifecycle process for either the Salesforce solution (across a range of modules).
  • Demonstrable experience of gathering, analysing and translating business requirements into intuitive and elegant Salesforce solution designs.
  • Some experience in architecting and designing lean, elegant technical solutions, aligned to user-led solution designs.
  • Experience of conducting business / systems analysis, working with stakeholders and SMEs to identify and implement business process improvements, with clear success criteria and defined outcomes
  • Experience in working as part of a project team, delivering technology solutions.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting/deploying Salesforce, in a large, complex organisation
  • Hands on experience in delivering product updates and upgrades and the ability to work with stakeholders and other team members to leverage value to the wider business
  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices
