Here at Hobbycraft, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team based at our Head Office in Bournemouth. You will join us on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £55,000 DOE, pension with a 4% contribution, 25 days holiday increasing every year, 25% discount in our stores, hybrid working policy, Dog-friendly office and many more!

About the Supply Chain Manager role:

The Supply Chain Manager is a pivotal member of the team and holds a critical position in managing and planning stock investment whilst maximising availability to support the Hobbycraft business, and exceed customer expectations. As a successful leader of people, you will inspire your team to meet the customer expectations and drive our supply chain strategy, whilst also driving team engagement. The role requires an individual that can drive action through working collaboratively with all areas of the business (Trading team, Distribution Centre, Finance, Retail and Ecomm Operations).

What we're looking for in our Supply Chain Manager:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in Demand Planning and Supply Chain management and will demand the highest standards in efficiency, service, and value for money.

You will possess strong leadership skills and be experienced in change management enabling you to ensure the pace and engagement of the supply chain agenda can be met, business wide.

Skills and experience

  • Highly numerate and the ability to understand and interpret financial, sales and other commercial information and to produce descriptive reporting of data and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with internal and external colleagues and partners
  • Able to work cross functionally to engage colleagues in positive manner.
  • An organised Individual who will prioritise effectively to deliver results.
  • Open and honest communicator with the skills to get buy in and influence others.
  • Demand planning experience; analysing stock holdings and commitment to ensure future orders are appropriate to fulfil forecast sales demand while seeking to hold working capital tight and prevent excess stock holding/obsolescence risk, and that stock purchases stay within the parameters set by the stock budget.
  • Prior knowledge of WSSI and Stock Budget management within a retail environment is essential.
  • ERP / WMS / Allocation & replenishment system experience
  • Data manipulation and analytics
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within Hobbycraft, and our suppliers.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering strategic plans is an advantage.
  • Experience in identifying, proposing, and implementing improvements to systems and processes is desirable.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
