Your new role
Due to an internal restructure within the finance team, an exciting financial accountant 12-month FTC job has been created. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll support the group's accounting, financial control and compliance reporting. Duties will include:
- Assist with the month-end close process, production of monthly management account, balance sheet reconciliations, branch reconciliation and general maintenance of a strong financial control environment.
- Ownership and control of tax and other P&L and balance sheet accounts as part of the close process.
- Manage, control and streamline the monthly intercompany charges process.
- Produce regulatory and other financial compliance returns, and manage any related enquiries.
- Prepare routine tax compliance returns for VAT (including weekly review of tax codes), betting duty, employee and any other taxes, and assist with any compliance enquiries.
- Help with the preparation of year-end group and subsidiary accounts, and the audit process.
- Support the budget and planning process by providing group tax forecasts.
What you'll need to succeed ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with strong financial accounting and system skills. You'll be available to start immediately, or at short notice.
