Director of Engagement

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Charity based in South West London in search of a Director of Engagement.

The role includes the stewardship and relationship management of major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, and Corporate Donors.

Role: Director of Engagement

Contract: Permanent

Pay: £50,000 FTE

Location: South West London

Key Responsibilities of the new Director of Engagement:

  • Lead the stewardship, renewal, and upselling of the current active portfolio of Individual Donors, Walkabout Ambassadors, Trusts & Foundations, and Corporates who have awarded grants to Walkabout Foundation in the past.
  • Work alongside the Programmes Team to identify and create compelling asks (showcase projects) for existing donors and expand Walkabout's pipeline to new donors.
  • Oversee pipeline data entry, data integrity, and data hygiene on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system: Salesforce.
  • Oversee the facilitation of large-scale donations and ensure the administrative process (e.g., invoices, receipts, formal acknowledgements) is followed according to regulations, best practices, and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate work with the Marketing & Events Team to ensure synergies are maintained in all digital communications, marketing campaigns, and donation requests.

Previous experience of the new Director of Engagement:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience as a lead fundraiser for non-profit development, preferably fundraising for international charities or those with projects in developing countries.
  • Experience in writing grants and other non-profit development proposals.
