As a Bilingual Counsellor, you will provide mental health support to clients from diverse backgrounds. You will work remotely, conducting sessions with students and university staff who prefer counselling in their native language. Your role will involve offering guidance, support, and coping strategies to help clients navigate their personal and academic challenges.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting one-hour counselling sessions in the preferred language of the client.
- Providing empathetic, culturally sensitive, and confidential support.
- Working closely with university staff to ensure students receive the best care possible.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date session records.
- Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Languages required:
We are looking for counsellors fluent in any of the following languages:
- Chinese
- Mandarin
- French
- Arabic
Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy.
- Registered or accredited with a relevant professional body.
- Fluency in one of the specified languages and proficiency in English.
- Experience providing remote or online counselling is a plus.
- Strong understanding of issues faced by university students, including academic stress, cultural adaptation, and personal development.
