Horizon Teachers are working with a Primary school based in Greenwich, assisting in their search for a Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team on a long-term basis.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering effective and engaging lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist with classroom and behaviour management.
  • Prepare and set up lessons and activities.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the well-being and academic progress of pupils.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • A range of experience working with children aged between 4 11 years
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and show initiative.
