Our client based in Gillingham requires a Customer Service Coordinator for temp contract.

Location Gillingham

Length of contract IMMEDIATE start available following successful interview

Rate per hour £12.33 ph PAYE, via React Recruitment Ltd

Hours Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 5pm

Friday 8.30am to 4pm - 39 hour week

Customer Service Coordinator - responsible for sales support of company products to UK and Northern Ireland customers.

Customer Service Coordinator duties:

  • Processing customer orders for the UK market using the company's ERP system
  • Sending order confirmations daily
  • Sending customer proof of deliveries
  • Systematically following up on UK customer enquiries and quotation requests received
  • Releasing customer orders to the warehouse for dispatch
  • Liaising with local freight forwarders obtaining quotations for shipping and arranging collection of goods and obtaining proof of deliveries
  • Close liaison is necessary with other departments, e.g.: Purchasing, Customer Services, Planning, RSM's, Credit Control, Warehouse & Goods In
  • Assisting customer service staff, as appropriate when workload permits
  • Any other duties as required by the Customer Service Team Leader as appropriate to allow for the smooth running of the department
  • Calling and emailing customers with order status updates
  • Managing and dealing with the daily call intake

Qualifications

  • Essential: GCSE in English and Mathematics (or Equivalent)

Experience

  • Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role within a Supply Chain department

Knowledge

  • Essential: UK Customer Service skills

Technical skills

  • Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Desirable: SAP
