SEN Art Teacher

Posted by Red Lester Recruitment Ltd.

Are you looking for a blank canvas to craft your teaching career this Autumn? We have a fantastic opportunity for an engaging SEN Art Teacher to channel their creativity in a classroom with a view!

One of our SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) SEN schools in the beautiful Channel Islands is looking for an outstanding Art Teacher, to join a dedicated team who are committed to breaking down SEMH barriers to learning. This fantastic school caters for children aged 9 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, providing them with a positive, safe, vibrant community.

In this exciting full-time supply role, you will work closely with a very small class of children with high levels of need, to promote learning through well-planned and engaging lessons. You must be able to teach Art across KS2, KS3 and KS4 up to and including GSCE. You will need a passion for your subject, with the drive to encourage creativity and engage pupils in Art within a SEMH/SEBD setting.

Although experience working in an SEMH school is beneficial, it is not essential. As long as you are a strong yet patient Art Teacher, with the right skillset to work with children with SEMH needs, this could be the perfect position for you.

This SEN Art Teacher role is to cover maternity leave until 4th April 2025.
